Will a patio cover make my patio cooler?
In hot summer months a patio can make your patio up to 10 degrees cooler, and can mitigate the direct sun exposure, which can have a dramatic impact on the felt temperature. This is ideal for everyone's comfort if you are planning on entertaining. A fan can be added to the ceiling to provide refreshing top-down air currents to cool if even further. For nighttime entertaining we also offer recessed lights.
Will a window awning help with the heat in my room?
Window awnings can reduce solar heat gain in the summer by up to 65% on south-facing windows and 77% on west-facing windows. With well insulated walls, the effect can be even more substantial. Even without great insulation, a significant positive impact (as stated above) can be felt with the reduction of direct sun and heat because of the covering.
